ENROLLMENT and ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS for CYBERLYNX

Kindergarten enrollees to be at least five years old on or before September 1st. ENROLLMENT FORM

Preschool siblings of currently or newly enrolled students be at least four years old on or before September 1st.

 

Alaska state law requires that enrollees in first grade be at least six years old on or before September 1st. Students may enroll as kindergarteners if they are not academically ready for first grade.

 

To be eligible for enrollment, a student must not be 20 years old on or before October 1st, unless on an active Individual Education Plan (IEP).

"Dual enrollees" (a student enrolled in CyberLynx and a public school) must have a co-operative agreement between CyberLynx and other public schools in place at the signing of the Pupil Education Plan (PEP). DUAL ENROLLMENT FORM

 

The State requires that enrollees be residents of Alaska. CyberLynx guidelines require participants to have an Alaskan mailing or physical address.

Students enrolled in Alaska State-funded schools are required to take State-mandated tests.

 

The Standards Based Assessments and Terra Nova tests are administered in the spring of each academic year. The High School Graduation Qualifying Exam is administered in the fall and spring of each academic year. Each high school student is required to show a photo I.D. at the test site.
